Ways to reduce body fat

Question : MY BMI is 32kg/m2, which falls in the obese group. Lately, I went on a strict diet where I tried to reduce my carbohydrate intake. I also go jogging at least three times a week. However, my weight has still not gone down. Please advise.

Answer : THE basic problem in weight gain is caused by an abnormal biochemistry due to a diet of excess refined carbohydrates and saturated fats and reduction in activity level when reaching adulthood.

The normal answer to this question is usually to eat low-calorie food, have a high-fibre diet and exercise more. Practise steady and non-stop aerobic exercises for not less than 12-20 minutes as they can change the biochemical level of carbohydrates and fat metabolism and stimulate the endocrine system to burn more fat. The types of

exercises needed are those performed in aerobic exercise classes, fast walking, jogging and cycling.

You may incorporate L-Carnitine in your daily diet. It is an amino acid derivative that transports fatty acids into the mitochondria (powerhouse of cells) where they are rapidly burned and transformed into energy. Additionally, L-Carnitine prevents accumulation of fat in various parts of body, thus reducing excessive body fat. It also boosts exercise endurance by increasing energy production.

For a synergistic effect, increase the intake of lecithin. The main constituent of lecithin, phosphatidyl choline, has the ability to break down the fatty deposits in the bloodstream.
