Family Tents

Family tents are usually large tents with good living space and are suitable for family or a group of people staying together in a camping trip. Usually cabin tents are employed by families or large groups that can provide enough living space for a group of people living together.

Cabin tents or family tents as they are called, are usually large enough to accommodate 4-5 people inside easily as they can go to a size of around 20 feet wide. This extra large living space simply means that people can even stand inside the tent, walk in and out of the tent without bending down. This provides an additional mental security to the family members which is not much present in tunnel tents where a person cannot stand straight inside the tent.

Nowadays family tents are coming with a number of different options that campers could choose from. The most common and widely appreciated option is the addition of dividers inside the tent to convert it into two room set. This means that parent can create an extra private room for themselves and one for their children's within the same tent.

The huge size of these family tents also makes it possible to include camping equipment such as comfortable articles such as chairs, tables, mats etc to be placed inside the tent and create a home out of nowhere. The straight walls

of these cabin tents also gives a visualization of a house and are much better than dome style tents in which the walls are not always straight.

These family tents take a lot of time to assemble and even more to disassemble. The large size also means large weight and these tents are several times bulkier than normal camping tents. Due to the extra size and weight, these tents cost more than the normal tents due to which many families buys different small tents instead of a family tent.

Transportation of such camps is also a problem due to their heavy weight and large size. It takes at least two adults to assemble and disassemble the tent and which is why these cabin tents are normally used by families instead of lone campers. They are quite useful in setting up base camps due to the extra space and comfort they offer.

These tents are made up of strong and a durable canvas and last many years which makes them a good investment of money. The poles are usually made up of aluminum or strong steel and last long. Experience campers often recommend going for good brands for these kinds of tents due to their high quality and long lasting durability.
